Dr Lan
Dr Lan has been practicing internal styles of Chinese Martial Arts including Tai
Chi, Qi Gong and Nei Gong,pa-Kua, Hsing-I and meditation since 1992.
His training and teaching methods encompass a whole balance integration with students
benefittings on all levels such as Health , Well-Being , Fitness , Healing , Martial
arts & Fighting ability , Philosophy ,Wisdom , Intelligence , Life coaching , Inspiration
& motivational Skill, etc
He has trained under the knowledgeable Grandmaster Feng-Chao Lin from Taiwan, who
in turn learned from the legendary Professor Cheng-Man Ching (He popularized Tai
Chi in the west in the 60-70's in New York, USA)
Dr Lan has appeared and written articles on Chinese medicine and Tai Chi in many
popular magazines and local newspaper such as Men's Health magazine, Longevity,
Renaissance, Shape, Odyssey, Cape Argus Newspaper and Cape Times.
He has done extensive work with corporate
companies. Collaboration include: Coca Cola, British American Tobacco, Nedbank, Startrackers,
etc. His work and teaching extends as far as University of Cape Town, Sport Science
institution around South Africa as well as in the UK and other countries in the
world
He was voted one of the "Four Inspiring foursome Leader" by Longevity Magazine in
April 2005.
He is the UCT Tai Chi Club Coach and ran Tai Chi classes at the Sports Science
Institute, Newlands weekly.
He is a Tai Chi teacher and a qualified Chinese Medicine Doctor using Acupuncture,
Tui-na , Bone-setting , Chinese Herbs and Tai Chi & Qi Gong to assess and treat
patients.
